Terms of Service

Welcome to Design Mentor AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Design Mentor AI website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• Upload content that infringes the rights of others or that you do not have the right to share;
• Resell, sublicense, or misrepresent the Service as your own; or
• Use automated means to scrape or overload the Service.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the designs, files, questions, and other materials you submit ("Your Content"). You grant Design Mentor AI a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service and to provide feedback to you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not sell it.

4. Nature of the Service

Design Mentor AI provides AI-generated feedback, critique, and guidance for informational and educational purposes. It is a mentorship and feedback tool, not professional, legal, medical, financial, or certified advice. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for evaluating and applying any suggestions with your own judgement.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are offered on a subscription basis and are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle, starting when you subscribe. Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. All sales are final: payments, including automatic renewals, are non-refundable, and we do not offer refunds or credits for unused time or partial billing periods, except where a refund is required by applicable law. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Pricing and plan details are shown on our pricing page and may change with notice.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Design Mentor AI and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or legal liability. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will meet your requirements.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Design Mentor AI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
